Maximum power point tracking algorithms for wind power generation system: Review, comparison and analysis

Abstract Wind energy is one of the most important clean energies and variable speed constant frequency technology widely used in wind conversion systems. Maximum power point tracking (MPPT) essential for a generation system. Concerning current research on MPPT algorithm, this paper studies principle, characteristics, reported improvement strategies principal algorithms. Through comparison simulation results selected control algorithms, improved optimal torque algorithm has been found to be best systems because its simplicity efficiency. On basis, further corresponding runs are carried out analyze effect fluctuation characteristics systematic dynamic performance The show that average speed, frequency, amplitude can affect system operation efficiency capture different degrees, which great practical significance strategy.
